To become a BITĖ customer, please visit the nearest BITĖ store or contact us at +370 699 23 230. Our team will be pleased to assist you in selecting a plan that meets your needs.  

For business customers, we invite you to reach out to us at +370 689 00000.  

If you are currently a customer of another operator, you can utilize our number portability service to maintain your existing phone number while transitioning to BITĖ. This process can be completed by visiting a physical BITĖ store. We kindly ask that you bring your passport or personal identification card. Foreign nationals must also present a valid Lithuanian residence permit. 

To become a customer of BITĖ, you will need the following:

1. Your personal identification document (passport)
2. A valid permanent or temporary Lithuanian residence permit (which must remain valid for at least six months)
3. Your address of residence in Lithuania or abroad 

Please note that BITĖ's equipment rental service is not available to non-Lithuanian citizens. However, foreign nationals holding a permanent residence permit in Lithuania may have the option to sign an equipment leasing contract based on their income from the past four months. To proceed, you will need to provide a document that remains valid for the duration of the lease and four months of income statements from the Bank of Lithuania. If you are self-employed in Lithuania, it is also necessary to provide your individual activity number. 

Foreign nationals wishing to acquire more than three services from BITĖ are required to pay an additional deposit of €30 per service. This deposit will be refunded upon service cancellation. Importantly, if you already have a service contract with BITĖ and have paid six or more bills, no deposit is required. Additionally, for non-Lithuanian citizens, a €30 spending control will be activated for each service, which will alert you when your bill reaches this amount and automatically limit additional services.

Payments can be made through foreign banks. You will need to specify one of the following beneficiary accounts:

Please note that information will be provided in Lithuanian. 

If you receive a call from Lithuania while abroad, it will not incur any charges in EU/EEA countries under our new BITĖ plans. Similarly, incoming calls received from abroad while in Lithuania remain free of charge. However, if you receive a call from abroad while outside of the EU/EEA, you will be charged for incoming calls.

Roaming activation

The service is automatically activated for all customers and does not require additional activation. However, if the service has been cancelled, it must be reactivated.

Troubleshooting services abroad

If you experience difficulties with calls, texts, or internet services while abroad, please be aware that coverage may be limited in certain areas. We recommend manually connecting to an alternative mobile service provider if needed. Our recommended mobile service providers can be located in the “Non-EU/EEA countries” section of the “Connecting abroad” page. 

Permanent residence or permanent ties: Mobile services included in the payment plan may be utilized while traveling in EU/EEA countries, in accordance with the terms and rates specified in the plan. This is applicable to individuals who are residents or business users in Lithuania, or who maintain regular, long-term ties to the country involving frequent stays within its borders.  

To prevent misuse or irregular application of services unrelated to normal travel, we may request documentation verifying your residency, commercial activity, or regular ties to Lithuania. Failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in charges for mobile services during travel in EU/EEA countries being billed at wholesale rates for regulated roaming services applicable to private or business customers.

Data limit: The data limit does not apply to the private “Lengviau” and “5G Lengviau” plans, which provide a fixed data allowance for browsing within the EU. For other plans, where the monthly fee includes unlimited data or where the rate per GB is lower than the maximum wholesale rate for data in the EU/EEA for private or business customers, a limit will apply. This limit is calculated by dividing the monthly fee by the maximum wholesale rate per GB (€1.88 for private customers and €1.55 (VAT (21%) excluded) for business customers), and then multiplying the result by two.

Roaming usage volume and stay duration in EU/EEA countries: If, over a period of 4 months, we observe, based on the traffic data processed, that you:

- use more minutes, SMS/MMS, or data in EU/EEA countries than in Lithuania, and at the same time
- spend more time in EU/EEA countries than in Lithuania,

further use of services in EU/EEA countries from the date of notice will be charged at the then current wholesale regulated roaming rates for private customers, provided that the situation does not change within the 14-day notice period.

Days when the customer is connected to a mobile network in Lithuania, regardless of the duration of the connection, are considered as time spent in Lithuania. Days when the device is not connected to any network (e.g., when powered off) will not be counted towards the duration of stay in Lithuania or other EU/EEA countries. Services utilized or presence in non-EU/EEA countries will be treated as equivalent to services utilized or presence in Lithuania.

Roaming services may also incur charges at the current wholesale rates for regulated roaming services for private customers from the date of notice if the situation remains unaltered during the 14-day notice period, particularly in cases where an individual maintains multiple service subscriptions and SIM cards for roaming.

Organized reselling: In case we identify that SIM cards are being resold systematically to individuals who do not reside in Lithuania or possess permanent ties to the country, we reserve the right to take immediate action. This may include restricting service usage or billing for services utilized in EU/EEA countries at the current wholesale rates for regulated roaming services applicable to private customers
